Video Anne Hathaway's Les Miserables Performance Spoofed in Viral Parody Video

Anne Hathaway is dreaming a dream of Oscar glory Having already won accolades from the Screen Actors Guild, the Hollywood Foreign Press, and the Critics Choice voters the Les Miserables star needs only one more trophy to complete her collection the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress

Hathaway's moving turn as Fantine in Tom Hooper's epic movie musical has been almost universally praised  Her awards show self-promotion  however is another story Some critics have said she has seemed too earnest and eager to win in the run-up to the Oscars on Feb  24. With that in mind film student Alberto Belli created a parody video of the Golden Globe winner's I Dreamed a Dream performance, in which a faux Hathaway Emma Fitzpatrickpleads with Academy voters in song to give her the award

Belli a 28 year-old graduated student at the USC School of Cinematic Arts rewrote the lyrics to the famed showstopper with Robert Hill. His version of the tune includes lines like I was bold and unafraid I let them give me this new haircut And I lost half my body weight / But then they never did a wide shot a reference to Hathaway's much-talked-about make-under for the film.

And now I pray you'll vote for me I'll stand up when I hear you clapping Fitzpatrick belts dramatically toward the end of the song And I already have my speech Oh God is this really happening

The three-and-a-half minute clip which was posted on Jan. 28, already has several hundred thousand views Speaking about his inspiration for the viral video, Belli told the Daily Beast I saw the movie I thought she was great The role speaks for herself

Hathaway's portrayer 27 year-old Fitzpatrick agrees with Belli adding that there was no malicious intent" involved in the making of the spoof I thought she did a great job Fitzpatrick told The Hollywood Reporter I actually wept through her whole song I don't think there's any questions about her talent or her skill or what she was willing to give to that role

Is she worried about offending the Oscar front-runner It seems to me that she has a pretty good sense of humor the actress told THR referencing Hathaway's history of spoofing other starlets on Saturday Night Live I would think that she probably gets it
